Did You Know - It is a good time to review your Repair Order layout.

Did You Know - It is a good time to review your Repair Order layout.

With the release of MaxxTraxx 9.0, several changes have taken place to the look and feel of the program. While you are getting used to the new features, take a look at your repair order and parts counter invoice legal requirements. The following three examples are easy to change or edit, but by no means are the only things you should check.

MaxxTraxx provides you built-in fields for disclaimers and warranty information on repair orders and parts counter invoices.
The examples supplied are generic and are not necessarily in accordance with your local laws.
Please check with your local governmental regulating body for what needs to be printed and disclosed.

The disclaimers can be edited in the Setups Menu under the "General" category line B "Repair Orders and Part Invoices" then clicking on the "R/O Disclaimers" line.

If you are in Florida, Michigan, or Wisconsin, the font and design of your repair order must be in accordance with state laws.

You can make adjustments in the Setups menu again under the "General" category line B "Repair Orders and Part Invoices" then clicking on the "R/O Setup" line.

If you are in a state that requires documented revisions of estimates, make sure to have those recorded and signed on the repair orders.  To activate warnings for revisions, go to the Setups Menu under the "General" category line B "Repair Orders and Part Invoices" then clicking on the "R/O Setup" line. Check the box that states "Warn if Revision of Estimate is Needed"

There are many other facets of repair orders and parts counter invoices that need to be reviewed for regulatory compliance. Your local office of your DMV, Department of transportation, Bureau of Automotive Repair or Consumer Affairs should be able to assist you.

As always, the Support Team is here if you have questions or need help.
