Pictures & Other Files Can Be Attached To Several Places In MaxxTraxx
There are currently 4 places in MaxxTraxx where one can attach files directly into the program where they will be stored permanently. This includes JPG picture files, too.
Reminder: Pictures can also be selected to show on the printed Repair Order!
The modules where files can be attached to are:
- Repair Orders
- Customer Records
- Vehicle Records
- Part Records (Pictures ONLY)
In order to do this, one must have access to the Pending Documents folder located on the main MaxxTraxx fileserver system. Best practice would be to place a desktop shortcut to that location directly on local workstation PC for quick & easy access. The Support Team can assist with this if help is needed.
Files that need to be attached permanently to MaxxTraxx need to be copied or dropped into that folder first. Then they will be available to select and attach to the desired location. Once they are attached, they will be removed from the Pending Documents folder and placed permanently in the Documents folder for archiving.
For attaching pictures to a Part's Master Record, just open the part's record up and click the "Select" button in the lower middle. Attach the picture file just like above.
The Pending Documents folder, where files that need to be attached are dropped, is generally found in this location;
