Did You Know that you can use third-party billing to pay a repair order
MaxxTraxx has the option to use third-party billing for repair orders that are being paid by an extended warranty, insurance company, or someone other than the customer.
First, make sure that the third party company/person is set up as a customer in MaxxTraxx.
Remember, customers are who pay us money, vendors are who we pay money to.

Once the repair order that is being paid by a third party is completed, you can pay from the repair order and select the payment method "Third Party Billing". For those shops accessing it through the "Cash Drawer" go to the Cash Drawer and select that repair order. Under the Method of Payment, box select Third Party Billing.
When you click the Apply Payment button, a window will open for you to select the customer that will be paying the bill. Once you have finished the transaction, the bill will automatically be assigned to that customer's Accounts Receivable balance, but the repair order will remain in the customer's name.
