Edit Unbalanced Transactions

Edit Unbalanced Transactions

From time to time a transaction will not post correctly and throw up an unbalanced transaction.  You would normally see this when viewing your balance sheet or trial balance reports.  To fix the unbalanced transactions you would go to:
  1. 'Utilities' from the top menu
  2. Choose 'Edit Unbalanced Transactions' from the dropdown.  This will display a list of the transactions that are unbalanced
  3. Click the 'Edit' button.  This will display the transaction detail and show the amount that's out of balance
  4. Once determined what the issue is, click either the 'Add, Edit or Delete' buttons to fix the issue then choose 'Post and Close'.  You may have to go back to the original document to see what the problem is
Sometimes there will be an entry that shows "Missing Account" but there is nothing in the transaction.  If you have one of these transactions, call Scott Systems 800-996-9777 and we'll assist you in getting this cleared
