That Users Of The Technician Jobclock Mini-Application Can Be Required To Input A Password

In MaxxTraxx, the Job Clock application for Technicians, by default does not have the requirement to input a password along with a username turned to "On".

If you would like to tighten up security, privacy and operations it's possible to activate that function. It's quick and easy. This is based on the assumption you ALREADY have all your Technicians set up and coded correctly in their Employee records.

Here's how you do it:
  1. For a more complete breakdown of how to set up Job Clock users, please read this Knowledge Base article HERE.
  2. If you are already using the JobClock but don't have the password requirement turned on, making this change will require that all persons in the business have a username and password set up. Not just Technicians.
  3. Watch this video HERE to learn how to turn on System Security for all. (a new one is coming soon!)
  4. Make the above changes prior to turning on System Security.
  5. However, if previous steps are already done and you just want to activate the password requirement for Jobclock then do the following:
  6. Click the Setups Menu icon at the very top right of the MaxxTraxx program (the little gray gear).
  7. Over on the far left, at the top in the blue GENERAL section. Click on option A. Company Information.
  8. The default General section should already be selected on the left.
  9. At the bottom of that page, click the box that says Use Password For Jobclock.
  10. From that point forward all Technicians will have to input both their Username and Password in order to access that function.
