Subject: Remote Desktop Update – Printer Access Fix

Please be advised this is the result of a recent Microsoft security update and you may have to repeat this procedure at login. We will update our clients as information becomes available.
We’ve identified a recent update from Microsoft that may impact your Remote Desktop Protocol connection settings, specifically causing printers to disconnect.
When launching Remote Desktop Connection, you may now see a new security prompt asking which local resources to allow.
To resolve the issue:
1. Close MaxxTraxx
2. Relaunch your Remote Desktop session
3. When prompted, check the following options:
o Clipboard
o Ports
o Drives
o Printers
4. Click Connect and log in as usual
If you designated printers in the individual workstation
setups, those will need to be recreated.
This should restore printer functionality within your session.
