Did You Know
That Parts And Labors From Kits Can Be Used On Parts Counter Invoices
In MaxxTraxx, Kits are used extensively on the Service Counter side of things when building Repair Orders. But did you know that elements of the Kits function can be used on the Parts Counter side as well?
Yes absolutely! They just do not come with a Reason For Service top line like they do on the Service Counter.
There isn't a standalone Kits button like there is on the Service Counter. However, the option to "Pull Parts and Labors from Kits" is available when clicking on either the "Add Part" or "Add Labor" buttons on the Parts Invoice screen.
Here's how to find and utilize Kits from your Kits Library on a Parts Counter invoice:
- From either the Parts section at the top of the Part Invoice screen or the Labors section in the bottom window, click the "Add Part" or "Add Labor" button.
- Roughly three-quarters of the way down the context menu, click the "Add Parts and Labors from Kits" option.
Select the desired Kit from the saved library or create a new one on demand and save it to your permanent list.
When a Kit is selected and added to a Part Invoice, it automatically takes all associated parts and adds them to the Parts section up top AND also all associated labors and adds them to the Labors section at the bottom.
This works the same whether a Kit is selected by clicking the "Add Part" button or the "Add Labor" button.
It pulls ALL parts and labors and brings them over unless individual items are de-selected.
